Binance Capital Connect Opens To VIP 3 Individual Investors

Institutional adoption of virtual assets is moving beyond simply holding cryptocurrencies, with investors increasingly looking for structured ways to allocate capital to professional trading strategies. Binance is expanding that infrastructure through Capital Connect, its exchange-native marketplace connecting qualified investors with professional trading teams. The platform is now open to KYC-verified individual users at VIP level 3 and above, expanding access beyond its earlier KYB-only model. Capital Connect allows investors to discover and allocate to strategies while keeping capital within Binance’s infrastructure. The marketplace covers strategies across virtual and conventional assets and uses standardized performance and risk information to help investors assess feasible opportunities.

Who Can Now Access Binance Capital Connect At VIP 3

Capital Connect is created as a marketplace where qualified investors can explore professional  trading strategies rather than managing every position themselves. Trading teams operate the strategies through Binance Portfolio Accounts, while investors retain ownership of their assets and the capital remains in custody within Binance.

The platform provides investors with context that can be used to evaluate different strategies, including performance figures, risk metrics and commercial terms. Depending on the portfolio, investors can review measures such as 30-day returns, returns since inception, NAV per allocation, Sharpe ratio and maximum drawdown. Other information can include minimum investment amounts, fees, lock-up periods and settlement windows.

A key part of the platform is that performance data is provided through Binance rather than being manually reported by trading teams. Binance says trading teams cannot self-report or edit their historical performance records, giving investors a standardized basis for assessing strategies. The platform has also extended beyond crypto-only strategies. Binance says Capital Connect supports several strategy categories, including market-neutral, directional, grid trading, long/short and statistical arbitrage, among eight strategy types.

This is alongside TradFi and real-world asset-linked multiple strategy approaches, subject to feasibility. Trading teams also face qualification requirements before they can provide strategies to external investors. Binance says the team must hold an appropriate asset management or portfolio management license, or a recognized exemption, complete KYB verification, and maintain at least 30 days of active portfolio account trading history. This creates a structure in which a trading team focuses on execution, while Binance provides the underlying account custody compliance and portfolio infrastructure.

Capital Connect has also introduced an express interest-only mode for strategies that are not yet available for investment. Eligible investors can view performance and portfolio information and submit a non-binding expression of interest while trading teams work towards the requirements for active status.

How Binance Portfolio Accounts Run Capital Connect Strategies

The latest expansion significantly widens who can access the marketplace. Binance announced that KYC-verified individual investors at VIP Level 3 and above can now access Capital Connect. Prior, access was restricted to KYB-verified entities meeting the applicable financial requirements. The expansion does not remove the platform’s financial qualification requirements. Investors must be either KYC or KYB verified and meet at least one qualifying threshold. These include VIP 3 status or above, at least $1 million in assets on Binance or external asset proof equivalent to at least $1 million, subject to Binance’s review.

Binance said that the change is intended to give more qualified investors access to professional strategies while maintaining similar suitability and financial requirements. investors can access Capital Connect marketplace directly through Binance and review eligible portfolios, including portfolios listed under Express Interest only.

What 212 Portfolios And 77 Trading Teams Show About Growth

The expansion comes as the marketplace itself has developed. Binance reported that as of September 2026, Capital Connect has 212 portfolios from 77 professional trading teams, compared with 106 portfolios and 35 trading teams in May. For investors, the model brings strategy discovery, allocation workflows, custody and performance reporting into Binance’s current infrastructure rather than needing separate fund platforms or administrators.

Binance also says there are currently no investor-side platform fees for Capital Connect. The development also reflects a broader shift in how professional capital can access digital asset strategies. Instead of restricting investors to direct token exposure, Capital Connect provides a route into strategies run by professional trading teams with standardized information intended to make performance and risk easier to access. Binance’s expansion of Capital Connect therefore adds another layer to its institutional VIP offering.

The platform now blends access to professional trading teams with Binance’s exchange and custody infrastructure, while opening participation to a broader group of qualified individual investors.
