Asset manager Bitwise has expanded its footprint in Europe by listing five of its crypto exchange-traded products (ETPs) on Italy’s Borsa Italiana, specifically on the ETFplus professional segments. The move follows the company’s earlier listings on Euronext exchanges in Paris and Amsterdam. With the latest listings, Bitwise is strengthening its presence across the major European financial markets.
The new listings are aimed mainly at institutional investors and qualified intermediaries. The ETPs will provide them with regulated and exchange-traded access to digital assets. As interest in crypto investment products continues to grow in Italy, the launch marks another major step toward making compliant crypto exposures more accessible within the region’s financial system.
Bitwise Enters Italy with 5 Crypto ETP Listings
Bitwise, a prominent investment company, has reportedly listed five of its European ETPs on Italy’s Borsa Italiana under the ETFplus professional segment. These ETPs offer exposure to major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as diversified and mixed-asset strategies.
These listings allow institutional investors and financial intermediaries to invest in digital assets through a regulated and familiar market setup. The development also strengthens the company’s presence in Italy and across Europe.
Italy is an important hub for crypto activity in Europe, supported by growing investor interest and a clearer regulatory environment. The country has introduced rules that require crypto service providers to register with financial regulators, building a safe and secure space. Five Bitwise ETPs Now Available in Italy
Bitwise has introduced five different crypto ETPs on Borsa Italiana’s ETFPlus professional segment. Each ETP focuses on a different strategy, from tracking major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum to offering a max of assets for diversification.
The Bitwise Core Bitcoin ETP (BTC1) is a physically backed Bitcoin product. It offers very low fees, designed for long-term investors who want a simple and cost-efficient way to follow bitcoin’s performance.
The second one, called the Bitwise Physica Bitcoin ETP (BTCE), is one of the company’s most established Bitcoin products. It offers direct exposure to BTC and stores the assets securely in institutional cold storage.
Another major product is the Bitwise Physical Etheruem ETP (ZETH). This ETP gives investors exposure to ETH via a regulated exchange format backed by actual Ether holdings.
The fourth Bitwise ETP listed in Italy today is the Diaman Bitcoin & Gold ETP (BTCG). It combines Bitcoin and gold, adjusting the balance between the two assets based on a specific index strategy.
At the same time, the Bitwise MSCI Digital Assets Select 20 ETP (DA20) is a diversified product. It tracks the top 20 cryptocurrencies. The ETP offers exposure to a large portion of the overall crypto market in a single investment.
